What is happening?

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING VARIOUS OFF STREET ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS

On 9th April 2024 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-

To add the following Off-Street Electric Vehicle Charging Bays to our Electric Vehicle Parking Places Order:

Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Electric Vehicle Parking Places) Order 2024 Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 26th April 2024.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 9th April 2024, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (MILETREE ROAD, HEATH AND REACH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Miletree Road, Heath and Reach.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 7 to 10 May 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Eastern Way, Heath Road, Shenley Hill Road and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (SLAPTON ROAD, LITTLE BILLINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Slapton Road, Little Billington between Springfield Cottage and the bend outside of West View.

This temporary closure is required to enable ditch clearance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 2 to 7 May 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via B440, A4146, B488, Slapton Bridge Lane, Horton Road, Mill Road and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (OVEREND GREEN LANE, HEATH AND REACH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Overend Green Lane, Heath and Reach.

This temporary closure is required to enable pothole works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 15 to 17 May 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Woburn Road, Birds Hill, Eastern Way and vice versa.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (VANDYKE ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Vandyke Road, Leighton Buzzard outside of Vandyke Upper School.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 17 May 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Shenley Hill Road, Heath Road, Leston Road, A4012, Beaudesert, Vandyke Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (HARTWELL GROVE, LEIGHTON BUZZARD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Hartwell Grove, Leighton Buzzard between Hartwell Crescent and Dudley Street.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 18 to 22 April 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Hartwell Crescent, South Street, Albany Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 18 April 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (SHENLEY HILL ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Shenley Hill Road, Leighton Buzzard between Avon Walk and Severn Walk.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 16 to 18 April 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via Mile Tree Road, Eastern Way, Leighton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 16 April 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (ROCK LANE, LEIGHTON BUZZARD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Rock Lane, Leighton Buzzard.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 24 April 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 22 April 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (POPLAR CLOSE, LEIGHTON BUZZARD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Poplar Close, Leighton Buzzard outside numbers 13 and 15.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repairs works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 24 April 2024 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order will come into operation on 22 April 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Vandyke Road, Leighton Buzzard.

This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 22 April 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

The alternative route for this closure is via A4012, Briggington Way and vice versa.

The Order will come into operation on 20 April 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL (WOOD END, TINGRITH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Wood End, Tingrith.

This temporary closure is required to enable engineer access to civils network and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 23 April 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. There is no alternative route for this closure. Access to be maintained when safe to do so.

The Order will come into operation on 22 April 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
