Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders:-

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 19 April 2024 and Friday 31 May 2024 the following roads will be affected, between either 0600 hours to 1800 hours, or, between 1800 hours to 0600 hours, for approximately one to three days or nights during this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable support during the next planned programme of carriageway maintenance, carriageway surfacing, lining works and installation of reflective studs, and any required works to be completed. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, maintenance, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. In some cases, it may be necessary to introduce the restriction on more than one occasion within this timeframe. The Isle of Wight Council (Whippingham Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary 30mph Restriction) Order No 1 2024 - a temporary 30mph speed limit restriction be introduced along Whippingham Road between Its junctions with Racecourse, Newport, and Saunders Way, East Cowes. The restriction Is being Introduced on the grounds of road safety to avoid the likelihood of danger to the public.
