Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA

(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.1)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above named Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-
The effect of the Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from entry (except Local Buses and Cycles as shown on the plans) on the following length of roads in Whitfield, Dover:-
DOVER ROAD – Banned right and left hand turn at its junction into Farmstead Way except Local Buses. FARMSTEAD WAY – For its entire length. RED KITE ROAD – From a point 229 metres from its junction with Eagle Drive to its junction with Honeywood Parkway. RICHMOND WAY – From its junction with Archers Court Road for a distance of 15 meters in a southeasterly direction. Banned Right and Left hand turn from Archers Court Road into Richmond Way except Local Buses.

(AMENDMENT No.12) ORDER 2024
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the Act) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order.
The effect of the order would be to reduce the National Speed Limit extend the existing 30MPH on the following length of road in Whitfield, Dover:-
ARCHERS COURT ROAD – From a point 7 metres south of its junction with Richmond Way for a distance of 81 metres in a north easterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act‘) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-
The effect of the Order will introduce new or to extend or amend existing waiting restrictions in the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL means waiting to be prohibited at all times by double yellow lines).
Roads in Shepherdswell in the District of Dover
CARPENTERS YARD – On both sides of its junction with Coxhill for a distance of 8 metres in a south easterly direction. COXHILL – (1) On the southeast side from its junction with Carpenter Yard for a distance of 25 metres in a north easterly direction. (2) On the southeast side from its junction with Carpenters Yard for a distance of 10 meters in a south westerly direction.
The Order was made on 18 April 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 19 April 2024.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

RICHMOND WAY – DYL – (1) On both sides from its junction with Archers Court Road for a distance of 205 metres in a southerly then easterly direction. (2) Place bus stop clearways and a ped crossing from a point in line with the building line of 42 Kittwake Crescent to the junction with Stonechat Lane. RED KITE ROAD – DYL - On both sides for its entire length.

Roads in Sandgate in the District of Folkestone & Hythe
ENCOMBE – DYL – (1) On the west side from its junction with Sandgate Esplanade to a point in line with the western boundary of number 1 Mariner’s Gate, Encombe. (2) On the east side from its junction with Sandgate Esplanade to a point in line with the eastern property building line of 3 Encombe. (3) On the south side from a point in line and opposite and 11 metres east of western boundary of 16 Encombe for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly then southerly direction. from a point in line and opposite. (4) On the south side from a point opposite and in line and 8 metres east of the boundary of 17/18 Encombe for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly then northeasterly direction. SUNNYSIDE ROAD – DYL – On the east side extend the existing DYLs from the boundary Saffrons to the northern boundary of Coombe Cottage.

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which would be to reduce the current National Speed Limit and to extend the 40MPH speed limit in Boxley, Maidstone on the following length of road:-
NEWNHAM COURT ROAD – On the east lane carriageway from a point 57 metres north of its roundabout with Bearsted Road for a distance of 300 metres in a north easterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL under sections 1(1), 2 (1) to (3), 3 (2), 4 (1) and (2), 32 (1), 35 (1), 44, 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-
The effect of the made named Order will introduce a goods loading bay on the following lengths of road in Maidstone:-
Roads in Maidstone in the Borough of Maidstone
PROGRESS WAY – On the southwest side from a point 11 metres from its junction with Jester Way for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction install a goods loading bay from 6am to 6pm every day with a maximum permitted waiting time of 1 hour.
The Order was made on 18 April 2024 and its provisions will come into effect on 19 April 2024.

MINSTER ROAD – DYL – On the south side from a point 10 metres west and 8.5 meters east of its junction with Parsonage Chase. PARSONAGE CHASE – DYL – (1) On the west side from its junction with Minster Road for a distance of 16 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Minster Road for a distance of 13.5 metres in a southerly direction.
