Lancaster Rd - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TITHEBARN STREET, OLD VICARAGE AND
LANCASTER ROAD, PRESTON, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Tithebarn Street, Old Vicarage and Lancaster Road as follows: -
Tithebarn Street – from its junction with Old Vicarage travelling in a northerly direction for approximately 15 metres.
Old Vicarage - in its entirety
Lancaster Road - from its junction with Old Vicarage to its junction with Earl Street.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative nightly from 2359 hours until 0430 hours on 22nd April 2024 until on 25th April 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained for businesses and residents whenever and wherever possible.
4. An alternative route is not available at this location.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow MJ Quinn to carry out CCTV, Jetting and Topographical works.
