Chapel Brow - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

(CHAPEL BROW, LEYLAND, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Chapel Brow, Leyland from its junction with Golden Hill Lane for 20 metres in a southerly direction.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 1900 hours on Monday 22nd April 2024 until 0600 hours on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access to be maintained wherever and whenever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
B5254 Churchill Way - B5254 Golden Hill Lane
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow utility maintenance works to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of United Utilites.
