Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads
by traffic.
TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
HILLSWAY, DERBY
WHEN: 13 April 2024 to 14 April 2024 WHERE: Hillsway, one way
closure from its junction with Burton Road roundabout to Opposite
Derby High School gate. A distance of approximately 50 metres from
roundabout. REASON: Electrical works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton
Road – Warwick Avenue – Stenson Road – Blagreaves Lane – Hillsway.

WHERE: London Road, One Way closure from its junction with

approximately 30 metres. REASON: Telecoms works ALTERNATIVE

Eastbound – Victoria Avenue – A52 Westbound – Raynesway
Southbound. And Raynesway Northbound – A52 Westbound –
Circumnavigate The Pentagon – A52 Eastbound – Derby Road.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the
affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derby City Council proposes to make
the above Orders under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53
and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and
under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers,
and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance
with Part III if schedule 9 to the 1984 Act proposes to make the
following Orders.
The purpose of these orders is to introduce the following restrictions
at the location stated below:
No Waiting (At Any Time):
• Derby Road outside number 176 to replace existing No Stopping
(At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)
• Derby Road opposite numbers 142 to 154
• Derby Road outside number 98 to replace existing No Stopping
(At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)
• Derby Road opposite number 98 to replace existing No Stopping
(At Any Time) (Except Local Buses) (Clearway Extent Only)
Revocation of No Stopping (At Any Time) (Except Local Buses)

• Derby Road in layby opposite numbers 142 to 154
Revocation of 50mph Speed Limit:
• On Raynesway, on both sides of the dual carriageway from outside
the Aspen Court Nursing Home to the garage. The speed limit will
revert back to 30mph.

definitive extents of the proposals, a copy of the Authority’s Statement
of Reasons for proposing the Orders and the Orders being amended,

Objections to the proposals stating your grounds of objection should
be sent, in writing, to Derby City Council, Traffic and Transportation,
Communities and Place, The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby,
