What is happening?
ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the following Order The Kingston upon Thames (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. *) Order 202* under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended.
2. The principal objectives of the proposed Order are to introduce/amend parking restrictions.
3. The general effect of the Order would be to:-
(a) introduce 'no loading/no unloading Monday to Saturday 10am to 12pm and 4pm to 6pm (single kerb blips) in Rhodrons Avenue adjacent to the sorting office and The Rhodrons Club
(b) introduce/extend waiting restrictions operating 'at any time' (double yellow lines) in:-
- Albany Park Road at its junction with Richmond Road
- Latchmere Lane at its junction with Garth Road
- Brockenhurst Avenue outside Nos. 7 and 162
- Muybridge Road at its junction with Long Walk on the south-western side
- Cardinal Avenue adjacent to and outside No. 2 Hollybush Road and No. 49 Latchmere Lane
- Mount Pleasant Road at its junction with Rosemont Road on the south western side
- Dinton Road between No. 6 Beauchamp Villas and No. 11, and at its junction with Bockhampton Road
- Knollmead outside and opposite No. 2
- Oakcroft Road at its entrance with Oakcroft Business Centre
- Forest Side adjacent to No. 407 Malden Road
- Fullbrooks Avenue adjacent to No. 393 Malden Road
- Old Kingston Road in its south eastern extremity and entrance to Kingston University Tolworth Court Sports Ground only on one side of the entrance
- Georgia Road at its junctions with Nevada Close and Oregon Close
- Grosvenor Gardens outside Nos. 11 only
- Rhodrons Avenue outside and opposite Nos. 26 to 40A and adjacent to the sorting office
- Hereford Way adjacent to No. 2 and outside Charles Lesser House, west of existing disabled bays
- Sheephouse Way at its western extremity outside Clinton House
- Highdown outside Nos. 141 to 145
- South Lane, New Malden outside No. 250
- Howard Road, Surbiton at the junction of the car park located adjacent to No. 57
- The Retreat on the corner outside Alum Court and in the turning head outside Merrow
- Hunters Road outside Nos. 57 to 65 and 46 to 72
- Tudor Drive outside Nos. 272, 283, 284 and 297 in place of single yellow line or parking bays
(c) introduce a disabled persons parking place operating 'at any time' with a maximum stay of 2 hours no return within 2 hours in Station Road, Kingston opposite Nos. 2 and 3
(d) introduce a bus only bay operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 10.30pm and Sunday 11.30am to 10.30pm with a maximum stay of 10 hours no return within 2 hours in Down Hall Road opposite the DoubleTree by Hilton. With a charge of £1.80 per hour
(e) extend free parking bays operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm with a maximum stay of 1 hour no return within 2 hours in The Triangle outside Catholic Church of St Pius X
(f) change the hours of operation to the existing loading bay to operate 7am to 10.30pm with a maximum stay of 30 minutes no return within 1 hour in Cromwell Road, Kingston outside Quebec House
(g) change the hours of operation to the existing ambulance bay to operate 'at any time' in Church Hill Road outside Moray House
(h) change the hours of operation to the existing disabled persons parking place to operate 'at any time' with a maximum stay of 2 hours no return within 4 hours in Sandal Road outside Library
(i) change an existing loading bay to a 'goods vehicle' loading bay operating Monday to Saturday maximum stay of 1 hour no return within 2 hours in Station Road, Kingston opposite No. 1
(j) convert an existing bus stop to a loading bay operating throughout the week with a maximum stay of 1 hour no return within 2 hours in Thames Side, Kingston
(k) remove a length of waiting restrictions (single yellow line) and replace with paid bays operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm in Coombe Road, Kingston outside Nos. 26 and 28 With a charge of £1.40 per hour.
(l) remove a length of waiting restrictions operating 'at any time' (double yellow lines) in Bowness Crescent outside Nos. 35 and 37.
(m) remove a length of waiting restrictions (single yellow line) operating Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 6.30pm in Somerset Avenue adjacent to No. 248 Hook Road
4. Copies of the proposed Order, of the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans showing the location and the effect of the proposal may be inspected as follows:-

(b) The Information and Advice Centre, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday inclusive
(c) Council libraries; and
(d) copies of the proposed Order and plan can also be obtained by calling 020 8547 5000 (between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday); or
