Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: –
a) That length of D942 Summerlands and D942 Slip Of Wood, Cranleigh that extends from the north-eastern property boundary of “No.82 Summerlands”, to the south-eastern property boundary of “No.26 Slip Of Wood”. Works are anticipated to be carried out within 3 weeks from 15/04/24. Alternative route: – Acres Platt, Sherrydon and Summerlands.
b) That length of D942 Sherrydon, Cranleigh that extends from its junction with D942 Summerlands, to its junction with Homestead and the entire length of D942 Killicks, Cranleigh. Works are anticipated to be carried out within 6 weeks from 03/06/24.
Alternative route: – Summerlands, Ewhurst Road and Sherrydon.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 9 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Beales Lane (D3877) Weybridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Beales Lane (D3877) Weybridge.
This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of Chevron TM. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 14 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if necessary, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
Leigh Hill Road (D6880) Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Leigh Hill Road (D6880) Cobham as extends from its junction with (X16051) Icklingham Road to its junction with (D6880) Grenville Close.
Alternative Route: Leigh Hill Road, (A245) Stoke Road, (A245) Mill Road, (A245) River Hill, (A245) High Street, (A245) Between Streets, (A307) Portsmouth Road, Fairmile Lane, and Leigh Hill Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 10am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Quinton Road (D6810) Thames Ditton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Quinton Road (D6810) Thames Ditton.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works across the full width of the road for, or on behalf of Road Traffic Solutions.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
New Road (A248) Chilworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) New Road (A248) Chilworth that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Chilworth Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres on either side; and
(b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council New Road (A248) Chilworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.

The Order is required to facilitate auxiliary maintenance works, for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights between the hours of 10pm and 6am within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 24 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
The Street (C40) West Horsley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Street (C40) West Horsley as extends from its junction with (C40) Ripley Lane to its junction at the roundabout with (A246) Epsom Road.
Alternative Route: The Street, East Lane, (B2039) Ockham Road North, (B2039) Ockham Road South, (A246) Guildford Road, and (A246) Epsom Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate developmental works for, or on behalf of Brookworth Homes. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Yew Tree Drive (D4025) Guildford as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.72 and No.74 Yew Tree Drive to a point in line with the common boundary between No.82 and No.84 Yew Tree Drive.
Alternative Route: Yew Tree Drive.
This Order is required to facilitate new mains water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between the hours of 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 April 2024.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Belgrave Road (D6235) Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction with (D6235) Belgrave Crescent to its junction with (D6236) Batavia Road.
Alternative Route: Belgrave Road, Kempton Avenue, (A308) Staines Road East, and Batavia Road, or this route in reverse. (b) Gaston Way (D6268) Shepperton as extends from its junction with (D6268) Catlin Crescent to its junction with (D3366) Service Road Fronting No.77 to No.99 Gaston Bridge Road. Alternative Route: Govett Avenue, (B3366) Green Lane, (A244) Gaston Bridge Road, and Service Road Fronting No.77 to No.99 Gaston Bridge Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm for part (a) and 10am and 3pm for part (b), during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
London Road (A30) Virginia Water
Temporary Speed Limit Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be; a) to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of (b) the north-eastbound carriageway of London Road (A30) Virginia Water as extends from its junction with (X96155) Meadow Road to its junction with (B389) Christchurch Road; and (c) the south-westbound carriageway of London Road (A30) Virginia Water as extends from its junction with (B389) Christchurch Road to its junction with (X96155) Meadow Road; and (d) Suspend “The Surrey County Council The London Traffic (40M.P.H Speed Limit) (No.1) Regulations 159 (Amendment) Order 2023” insofar as affects the length of road described in (b) and (c) of this Notice.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow a safe working zone in connection highway maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 months, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 20 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
Various in Waverley, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill which extends from a point 30m north of its junction with the northern arm of the access to “High Loxley Farm” to a point 30m south-east of its junction with the eastern arm of the access to “High Loxley Farm”.
This Order is required to enable ALS Civil to facilitate electrical connection and/or utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 10 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times by way of road plates.

On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceed in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of pedestrian access to premises will be affected. Hambledon Road (C31) Busbridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hambledon Road (C31) Busbridge which extends 100m either side of its junction with the access road leading to Busbridge Lakes House.
This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water works and/or connection works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and Part IV to Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
1. Prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham that extends from its junction with C23 Littleworth Road, to a point 20m north-east of the “Cutt Mill Culvert”. 2. Revoke “The Surrey County Council C24 Suffield Lane, Puttenham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to safely erect a dam and/or carry culvert inspections and/or repairs and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out within 4 weeks of the 33 week period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole access to property will be affected.
Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times to the point of closure via the footway to Suffield Lane, Seale Lane, Puttenham Road, Elstead Road and Littleworth Road. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times to the point of closure via the alternative route for vehicular traffic –– From the southern end of closure – C23 Littleworth Road, C21 Elstead Road, C119 The Street, A31 Hogs Back, B3000 Puttenham Hill, C20 The Street and C24 Suffield Lane. From the northern end of closure – C24 Suffield Lane, C20 The Street, B3000 Puttenham Hill, A31 Hogs Back, C21 Elstead Road and C23 Littleworth Road.

Bridge Street (D3807) and Mayo Road (D3806) Walton on Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Left Turn Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to (i) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bridge Street (D3807) Walton On Thames as extends from its junction with (D3806) Mayo Road to its junction with (A3050) Hepworth Way; and, (ii) Prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in Mayo Road (D3806) Walton On Thames from turning left into (D3807) Bridge Street.
Alternative Route: (A3050) Hepworth Way and Bridge Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out sewer utility works for, or on behalf of Cappagh Contractors. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 15 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 May 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and the temporary prohibition, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic including emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.
Cumberland Drive (D6817) Esher
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cumberland Drive (D6817) Esher as extends from its junction with (D6814) Manor Road North to its junction with (D6816) Chesterfield Drive.
Alternative Route: Manor Road North, Claygate Lane, and Chesterfield Drive, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate mobile crane lifting works for, or on behalf of Southern Cranes and Access Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 May 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Cross Lanes (D4007) Guildford as extends from its junction with (X4007) Mathon Court to its junction with (X4007) Glebe Court.

This Order is required to facilitate installation and removal of telecom cabinet works for, or on behalf of Touchstone Traffic Solutions. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 May 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Glebeland Gardens (D6288) Shepperton as extends from its junction with (B376) High Street to its junction with (D6288) Broadlands Avenue.
Alternative Route: Broadlands Avenue, (B3366) Green Lane, and (B376) High Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of Chevron TM. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 May 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if necessary, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
