Tyldesley Road Atherton - Prohibition of Waiting Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act 1984, has made the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.881) Order 2024 which will come into operation on 18th April 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:

• Tyldesley Road Atherton - Southwest side from 15 metres southeast of its junction with Clarence Street to a point 10 metres northwest of Windsor Street.

A copy of the Order and of the relevant map may be requested by emailing d.rumsey@wigan.gov.uk.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the ground:

(a) that it is not within the powers of Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or the Traffic Management Act 2004.

(b) that any requirement of the said Section 1, or of Part III of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or of any regulations made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 or of any requirement of the 2004 Act, has not been complied with, may within six weeks of 26/03/2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.

(Sandy Lane Lowton) (Prohibition of Waiting/Loading) Order 2024

Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under Section 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act 1984, proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Decriminalisation of Parking) (Various Roads in Wigan Borough) (Traffic Regulation Consolidation) Order 2004 (Amendment No.585) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time on:

• Sandy Lane Lowton - Southwest side from a point 30 metres southeast of its junction with Brook Street to a point 10 metres northwest of its junction Brook Street.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no loading at any time on:

• Sandy Lane Lowton - Southwest side from a point 30 metres southeast of its junction with Brook Street to a point 10 metres northwest of its junction Brook Street.

The Order also provides that if any vehicle is left in any road or length of road affected by the Order in contravention of any provision of the Order a penalty charge (in the amount set by the Council) shall be payable and/or the vehicle may be removed. A copy of the proposed Order, the Order to be amended, and of the relevant map and of a statement of the reasons for proposing to make the Order may be requested by emailing d.rumsey@wigan.gov.uk.

Any objection to the Order must be made in writing and specify the grounds thereof and must be made to the Assistant Director - Legal, Governance and Elections, Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan or by emailing the above email address quoting reference RD/LS/DC//949 not later than 09/05/2024.

(Warwick Road Atherton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Warwick Road Atherton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Warwick Road Atherton for a period of five days commencing on 03/06/2024 to 07/06/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: Formby Avenue, Car Bank Street, Kent Road and Devonshire Road.

The Order is necessary to allow a new electric connection.

(Church Lane Lowton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Notice of Making

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Church Lane Lowton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Church Lane Lowton during the period of 09:00 to 15:00 on 19/05/2024.

The alternative route for traffic is: A573 Church Street, A573 High Street, A573 Bridge Street and A580 East Lancashire Road.

The Order is necessary to allow lining works to sewer.

(Elm Avenue Golborne) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Notice of Proposals

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of the Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Elm Avenue Golborne) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven in Elm Avenue Golborne during the period of five days commencing on 24/06/2024 to 28/06/2024.

Access will be maintained where possible.

The Order is necessary to allow a sewer repair.
