A1068 ELLINGTON ROAD ASHINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A1068 Ellington Road Ashington from its junction with the A197 Morpeth Road heading north for a distance of 3320 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 2nd May 2024 until the 31st October 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 2nd May 2024 until the 3rd May 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st October 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A197, A189 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out civils and carriageway surfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
