A1068 FRONT STREET GUIDEPOST
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A1068 Front Street Guidepost from its junction with the A196 heading north for a length of 55 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 29th April 2024 until the 10th June 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from 19:00 hours on the 29th April 2024 until 06:00 hours on the 30th April 2024; however, the order will remain in place until 10th June 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A1068, A197, A196 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Commhoist on behalf of Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure for telecoms upgrade works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
