(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6514 Newbiggin Road To Monkseaton Terrace Back Lane Ashington for its entire length of 130 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 30th April 2024 until the 10th May 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 30th April 2024 until the 3rd May 2024 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 10th May 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Newbiggin Road To Monkseaton Terrace Link, Milburn Road.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water Ltd to repair a defective reinstatement in the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
