C404 BARRINGTON ROAD BEDLINGTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C404 Barrington Road Bedlington for a distance of 60 metres, 30 metres either side of the level crossing in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 30th April 2024 until the 8th June 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates;
● 16:00 hours on the 30th April 2024 until 05:30 hours on the 2nd May 2024, continuous closure.
● 16:00 hours on the 6th June 2024 until 05:30 hours on the 8th June 2024, continuous closure.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C406, C414, C404 and vice-versa.
A shuttle bus is to be provided for pedestrian traffic.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Site Services on behalf of Network Rail to carryout tamping and level crossing surface works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
