What is happening?
Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C262 (Part), Chute; from its junction with Breach Lane to its junction with Dummer Lane. B) Dummer Lane (Part), Chute; from its junction with C262 to outside its property known as Standen Farm to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out installation of new overhead electrical equipment and associated works. Alternative route via Dummer Lane (unaffected length) - C256 - Hatchet Hill - C262 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 07 May 2024 and the closure will be required until 17 May 2024. For further information please contact Scottish and Southern Power Distribution on 08000 106163. C) C24 (Part), Tisbury; from its junction with C318 to its junction with The Paddock to enable Wessex Water to carry out manhole and associated works. Alternative route via C24 (unaffected length) - C25 - C318 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 May 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:40 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) C276 (Part), Fovant; from outside its property known as Moor Hill Cottage to outside its property known as Weather Oak to enable Wessex Water to carry out connection and associated works. Alternative route via C276 (unaffected length) - C317 -A30 - C64 - C276 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 April 2024 and the closure will be required for 24 hours a day for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. E) C308 (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with A350 to its property known as Copse View to enable BT to carry out pole and associated works. Alternative route via C308 (unaffected length) - A350 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 April 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. Alternative route via C61 (unaffected length) - C295 - A30 - C61 (unaffected length) and vice versa. G) B3089 (Part), Dinton; from its junction with Sandhill Road to its junction with Baverstock Lane to enable Openreach to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via B3089 (unaffected length) - A350 - A30 -B3089 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 April 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 14:00 for 1 day. H) B3080 (Part), Downton; from its property known as The Sawmils for a distance of approximately 150m in a westerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out tree cutting and associated works. Alternative route via B3080 (unaffected length) - A338 -B3080 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 25 October 2023 will now recommence on 14 April 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Centurion Traffic Management on 01132 775360. Orders A) to G) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order H) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
