(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Public Footpath 347 in the parishes of Arundel and Walberton, from its junction with the A27, southwards for 475m.

The closure of this route is needed to allow watermains to be repaired in safety.

The Order extends the operation of a previously issued emergency notice and will come into effect on 16 April 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 6 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. Unfortunately, during the operative period of this Order, no alternative route is available via the public rights of way network. Any queries about the effect of the Order on traffic using the highway should be directed to the West Sussex County Council Contact Centre, telephone number 01243 642105.

(Worthing and Ferring: Various Roads) (RunFest)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the following roads in Worthing and Ferring throughout their entire length unless otherwise stated:

STEYNE GARDENS, THE STEYNE, MARINE PARADE/WEST PARADE, GEORGE V AVENUE: from West Parade to Eirene Road,

EIRENE ROAD/MARINE CRESCENT/MARINE DRIVE, SEA LANE

(Goring), GLYNDE AVENUE, AMBERLEY DRIVE: from Glynde

Avenue to Aldsworth Avenue, AUGUSTA PLACE: from Marine Parade, northwards to the entrance to the Grafton multi storey car park, HEENE ROAD.

During the operative period of the Order the one-way traffic restriction on Crescent Road and Augusta Place will be suspended to maintain access to the Grafton multi storey car park.

These road closures will operate at various times between 7am and 2pm on Sunday 28 April 2024 and are needed to allow the Worthing RunFest 2024 event to take place safely. During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times under the direction of event marshals.
