What is happening?

West Sussex County Council
(Southwater: Public Bridleway No. 1670) (Temporary Closure)

Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any equestrian from proceeding along a length of Public Bridleway No. 1670 Southwater, from its junction with Public Footpath No. 1663 (TQ171286), southwards to its junction with Coltstaple Lane (TQ169278),
a distance of approximately 800 metres.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to an unsafe surface.
Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 16 April 2024 and will last for 6 months or until the Public Bridleway is safe to reopen whichever is sooner.

(Pulborough: West Chiltington Road)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close West Chiltington Road between Nutbourne Road and Harborough Hill.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highway drainage works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 11 April 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

(Horsham: A264 Northern Bypass (Eastbound))
(Temporary 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, West Sussex County Council intend to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from travelling at a speed exceeding 40mph on the A264 Horsham Northern Bypass eastbound between the Rusper Road roundabout junction and
the B2195 roundabout junction.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst a new junction for the North Horsham development site is constructed. The Order will come into effect on 1 May 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 1 May 2024 and will be completed by 20 December 2024.

(Billingshurst: Marringdean Road)
(30mph Speed Limit) Order 202*
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to extend the 30mph speed limit on Marringdean Road south of Billingshurst village to the B2133 Adversane Lane.
Full details of the proposals in this Notice can be viewed on our website www.westsussex.gov.uk/tro. The website includes a response form for comments or objections.
Paper copies of documents will not be available to view in council offices or libraries. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the West Sussex County Council Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
