East Riding of Yorkshire - Notice of Temporary Speed Restiction for 50 miles, M62 & M18 to allow for works on the bridge.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 14
THE M62 AND M18 MOTORWAYS
(LANGHAM INTERCHANGE)
(TEMPORARY 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED RESTRICTION)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M62 and the M18 Motorways, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, to enable bridge parapet replacement works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 8pm on Monday 6 May 2024 for 16 weeks, or until completed. The effect of the Order will be to impose, a temporary 50mph speed limit restriction on the M62 and the M18:
(i) M62 eastbound carriageway from a point
105m east of the eastbound exit slip at M62 Junction 35, to Dobella Lane Overbridge, a distance of 2325 metres;
(ii) M62 westbound carriageway from a point 950m east of the Dobella Lane Overbridge, to a point 405m east of the westbound entry slip at M62 junction 35, a distance of
2875 metres;
(iii) M62 eastbound carriageway from the entry slip at junction 35. To 240m north of the exit slip road at M18 Junction 7, a distance of
1425 metres; and
(iv) M62 westbound carriageway from 950 metres east of Dobella Lane overbridge to 135 metres north of the M18 southbound entry slip road at Junction 7, a distance of 1115 metres.
Traffic management will be in force and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restrictions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or special forces vehicles). The Order comes into force on the 5 May 2024 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
