What is happening?

THE WEST LOTHIAN COUNCIL 
(A801 WESTFIELD/ A706 RURAL LINLITHGOW)
(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 - TTO/24/181

The Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that the roads noted in the Schedule below will be closed/subject to a temporary 30mph speed limit for the period specified to enable junction signalisation works to be carried out. Traffic will be diverted as undernoted. Pedestrian access will be maintained where footways are present.

Road Closures: A801A706 to Boundary: From A706 to B792; A801B8047 to A706: Full length; A706B792 to A801: Full length.

Temporary 30mph speed limit: A801A706 to Boundary: Full length; A801B8047 to A706: Full length; A706B792 to A801: Full length; B792A706 to A801: Full length; 801Westfield R/A to B8047; Westfield Roundabout; B8047: Avoncrook to Westfield Roundabout.

Dates and Times: 0600hrs on 22 April to 1800hrs on 13 July 2024. Closures to be implemented as required within these dates.

Diversion Route: General Traffic: A801 - A706 - Kettilstoun Mains Roundabout - Mains Road (height restriction of 3.9m / 12’9” at low bridge) - Falkirk Road - Main Street - A803 - Lathallan Interchange - A801 - Bowhouse Roundabout - A801 - B792 and vice-versa.

Over height vehicles (HGVs): A801 - Westfield Roundabout - A801 - Heatherfield Roundabout - A801 - Boghead Roundabout - A801 - Pottishaw Roundabout - A801 M8 Junction 4 - M8 - M8 Junction 2 - M9 - M9 Junction 4 - Lathallan Interchange - A801 - Bowhouse Roundabout - A801 and vice versa.
