Barrasford Quarry, Temporary Road Closure Due To Fibre Works
What is happening?
Northumberland County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -Section 14(1) C216 Barrasford Quarry To Wark, Wark (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C216 Barrasford Quarry To Wark from its point 705 metres south of its junction with C216 Front Street heading south for a distance of 250 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 29th April 2024 until the 10th May 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 29th April 2024 until the 1st May 2024 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 10th May 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C216, C213, U5031C216 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by B4RN (Broadband for the Rural North) to install ducting to facilitate new fibre broadband connections. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
