A616 Trunk Road, Wortley to Deepcar, South Yorkshire - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
THE A616 TRUNK ROAD
(WORTLEY TO DEEPCAR)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A616 Trunk Road, in the County of South Yorkshire, to enable scheme works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start at 3pm on Tuesday 7 May 2024 for 11 weeks, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to close, between 3pm and 8pm, at times during the works, the laybys adjacent to the A616 eastbound and westbound carriageways approximately: (i) 262 metres east of Flouch Roundabout;
(ii) 1300 metres east of Flouch Roundabout;
(iii) 3429 metres east of Flouch Roundabout;
(iv) 5204 metres east of Flouch Roundabout;
(v) 300 metres west of A629 Wortley Interchange; and
(vi) 450 metres west of A629 Wortley Interchange.
Traffic management will be in and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 6 May 2024 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
