What is happening?

NORTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
PUBLIC FOOTPATH SHIREMOOR 8 (SECTION) TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024

North Tyneside Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic across a section of the Footpath starting at Point A at Murton Lane, Murton and heading west for approximately 145 metres to its end point at Point B as and when signage dictates. 

The remainder of the path is not affected by this Order.
The Order is required to allow for engineering works, and it will come into force on 17 April 2024 for a period not exceeding 6 months or as and when signs dictate.
