What is happening?

Order No.2 2024

The Council on 5/4/2024 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 12 metre length of Woods Terrace Rear, Murton from the rear of Numbers 1 to 3 Woods Terrace to enable new water connection works to be undertaken. Throughout the period of closure, a diversion will be available to vehicular traffic from south side of closure in a westerly direction on B1285 Church Street then north on Coronation Street South/West then east on Western Terrace North then south on Woods Terrace Rear to northern end of closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on 15/4/2024 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
