What is happening?

CITY OF DONCASTER COUNCIL

(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the roads and the
effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that
length of the filter lane from High Road on to Sandford Road
at Balby in the City of Doncaster District and prohibit the left
turn manoeuvre from High Road as described in the Schedule
to this notice on the dates and times referred to in the said
Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to cycleway construction
are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
over 7.5 Tonne only, affected by the Order is via Balby Road,
Cross Street, Tickhill Road, Sandford Road.

The Order will continue in force up to and including the 31st
day of May 2024 or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out in or near the said roads have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
SCHEDULE

Location
1) Close the filter lane from High Road on to Sandford Road,
Balby in a south westerly direction for a distance of 50
meters.
2) Prohibit the left turn manoeuvre from High Road Balby, on
to Sandford Road for vehicles in excess of a 7.5Tonne weight
limit.
Dates and Times
19:00hrs 22nd April 2024 until 06:00hrs 24th May 2024.
Night time closures only between 19:00hrs and 06:00hrs
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 31st May 2024.

THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 AS AMENDED
BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS)

ACT 1991

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length of
Bowland Close at Bentley in the City of Doncaster District as
described in the Schedule to this notice on the dates and
times referred to in the said Schedule
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to connect to existing drainage for a
new build development are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for
vehicles affected by the Order . Those residents and
businesses directly affected by the works will be notified of
the scheme and access arrangements.

proposed to carry out in or near the said road have been
completed, whichever is the earlier.

Bowland Close, Bentley from a point 66m north of its junction
with Appleton Way in its entirety.
Dates and Times

08:30hrs 23rd April 2024 until 16:30hrs 3rd May 2024
The closure will take place on weekdays only. The road will
reopen each evening.

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to
make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the roads and the
effect will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, proceeding
or waiting in those lengths of road at Wheatley in the City of
Doncaster District as described in the Schedule to this notice
on the dates and times referred to in the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst cycleway works are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is as described in the Schedule to
this notice.
Any vehicle that is in contravention of the waiting restriction
imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions
of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
Any contravention of the prohibitions or restrictions imposed
by this Order may result in a Penalty Charge Notice being
issued and the subsequent removal of a vehicle.

junction with Ferrers Road
2) Axholme Road from its junction with Thorne Road to its
junction with Back Road
3) Avenue Road at its junction with Thorne Road only
4) Auckland Road from its junction with Thorne Road to its
junction with Auckland Road Back Road East
5) St Mary’s Road from its junction with Thorne Road to its
junction with Highfield Road
6) Highfield Road from its junction with St Marys Road to its
junction with Baxter Avenue
Dates and Times
On or after 08:00hrs 29th April 2024 until 18:00hrs 2nd June
2024
Each road to be closed for approximately 1 week within this
period as works progress.
In the event of engineering difficulties and/or adverse weather
conditions, the closure may extend beyond this date although
all closures to be completed by the 30th June 2024.
