What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS WITHIN
THE HIGHWAY AREA 1 NETWORK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along Various Roads
within the Highway Area 1 Network which are notified
sites on the surface dressing programme.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
surface dressing programme, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed
within 31 August 2024.
The roads will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 15 April 2024, however
dates for the commencement of the works on any
specific site or any additional sites will be notified on
site in the week preceding the works and on
‘One.network’ until completion of the surface dressing
programme and continue in force for a period not
exceeding eighteen months or until the works which
it is proposed to carry out have been completed,
whichever is the earlier.
