What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY EXTENSION
GODFREY STREET / MARKET PLACE, HEANOR
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 01 December 2023 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close Godfrey Street / Market Street, Heanor and suspension of the One Way has been extended.
The alternative route will be via Godfrey Street, Mundy Street, Wilmot Street and vice versa.
The road will be closed until 30 April 2024 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner to facilitate refurbishment of the Market Square.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the temporary restriction. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
