Eshton Terrace - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(ESHTON TERRACE, CLITHEROE, RIBBLE VALLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Eshton Terrace, Clitheroe from 20 metres west of the Low Moor Level Crossing to 20 metres east of the Low Moor Level Crossing.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 2300 hours on Friday the 19th of April 2024 until 0700 hours on Saturday the 20th of April 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
Woone Lane – Moor Lane – Castle Gate – Parson Lane – Bawdlands – Corporation Street
And vice versa.
5. Emergency, residential, and pedestrian access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow level crossing inspection works to be carried out.
