ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Barrow Street, Barrow Gurney, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 29 May 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-047

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 29 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Highdale Road, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 28th May 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-056

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to replace stop tap and meter. This will become operative on the 28 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Wild Country Lane, Long Ashton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 28 May 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-049

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by ETM Contractors for private tree cutting outside Fenswood Farm. This will become operative on the 28 May 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 7am and 6pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Yanley Lane, Long Ashton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 25 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-034

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to test poles and tree cutting works. This will become operative on the 25 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30-15.30hrs. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Claverham Road, Stowey Park, Claverham, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 29 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-035

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to lay new duct. This will become operative on the 29 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Bridgwater Road (A38 Layby), Long Ashton, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024

Date coming into force: 24 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-028

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads (layby) specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by MBNL to close the layby for a mewp inspection of telecom mast. This will become operative on the 24 April 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 night in duration between 6pm and 5am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. This will be in conjunction with temporary traffic lights.

Schedule - Bridgwater Road - A38 Layby only closed northeast before Lime Kiln roundabout for its full extent.

Slade Road, Ferndale Road, Portishead, North Somerset

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles), (Temporary No Left Turn) Order 2024

Date coming into force: 29th April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and to restrict vehicles from turning left in the lengths of road specified in the Schedules to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to line sewer. This will become operative on the 29 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Road closure Schedule - Slade Road closure from property numbers 30 to 34. Closure of exit slip road on to Nore Road, leaving the exit on to Cabstand open.

No Left Turn Schedule - Ferndale Road traffic exiting on to Slade Road to turn right only.

Notice of Confirmation of an Order

Highways Act 1980

Part of footpath LA 19/1, running north westerly from Beech Court, Old Hill, Winford

Public Path Diversion Order No.1 2024

On 21 March 2024 North Somerset Council ('NSC') confirmed the above Order, made under section 119, Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert that part of Public Footpath LA 19/1 in the Parish of Winford within the District of North Somerset as described below: From point B (grid ref. ST 52990 64312), running in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 66m, to point A (grid ref. ST 52938 64354) to a footpath from a new pedestrian gate at point C (grid ref. ST 52977 64338) running in a generally west, north westerly direction for approximately 42m, to point A (grid ref. ST 52938 64354), as shown on Order Map No. PPO 180.

The Order comes into force on 18 April 2024 but, if any person aggrieved by the Order desires to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 10 April 2024, make an application to the High Court.
