Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Benson,Old London Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 29/04/2024 Coming into force: 07/05/2024 This Order is being introduced because of water connection works which are anticipated to be completed 13 May 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Old London Road outside Goulds Grove Farm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Old London Road, A4130, Clarks Lane, Old London Road and vice versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13439/AC)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
South Hinksey, Parker Road Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 29/04/2024
Coming into force: 08/05/2024 This Order is being introduced because of replacement of sewer pipes which is anticipated to be completed 2 July 2024. This is a 24 hour road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in part of Parker Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic affected is via St Lawrence Road, Manor Road and vice versa.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13543/AC)

East Challow, BOAT 3 Closure commenced: 26/03/2024
Date of Order: 08/04/2024 Coming into force: 15/04/2024 This Order continues in force a closure by emergency Notice introduced as the surface of the route is unsafe for continued public access. The timescale for repairs is uncertain due to prioritising and funding issues. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part of BOAT 3 (196/3) Cornhill Lane, between the A417 and St Nicholas primary school.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. No alternative off-road route is available. If the works cannot be completed within 6 months the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will be sought to extend the order.
Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. (Ref: T13821/AC)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
West Hagbourne, BOAT 9 Date of Order: 08/04/2024
Coming into force: 14/04/2024 This Order continues in force a closure by emergency notice on 25 March introduced because the surface of the Byway Open to All Traffic is in poor condition and unsafe for continued use by the public. The timescale for repair is unknown due to prioritisation and funding challenges. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily that part of the BOAT 9 - Moor Lane, between Main Street and Blewbury Road (towards East Hagbourne). Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of BOAT. There is no alternative off-road diversion available. The closure order will initially last for 6 months and may be extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport. (Ref: T13818/AC)

West Challow, Letcombe Regis & Letcombe Bassett BOAT Closures Date of Order: 8/04/2024
Coming into force: 15/04/2024 This Order continues in force byway closures by emergency Notice on 26 March 2024 introduced as the surface of the byways is unsafe for continued public use. The timescale for repair is uncertain due to prioritising and funding issues.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily part or whole sections of West Challow BOAT 10 (399/10); West Challow BOAT 13 (399/13); Letcombe Regis BOAT 3 (275/3); and Letcombe Bassett BOAT 6 (274/6). Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. There is no alternative off-road route.
Should the repairs take longer than 6 months to complete the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will be sought to extend the closure order. (Ref: T13822/AC)

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS - VALE OF WHITE HORSE DISTRICT
EXCLUDING THE PARISH OF NORTH HINKSEY) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION No12*) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS GIVEN that on 8 April 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce parking restrictions in East/West Hanney to help better manage traffic in the vicinity of St James CofE School, especially at the peak morning & afternoon periods. Specifically, the measures which come into force on 15 April comprise of the following:
A. 'No Waiting at Any Time' (double yellow lines) parking prohibition:
1. Brookside (East Hanney) - both sides: a) from the southern boundary of No.10, northwards to its junction with The Causeway, b) from its junction with The Causeway, eastwards for approx. 65 metres.
2. School Road (West Hanney)
a. north side - from outside No.8, eastwards to its junction with The Causeway,
b. south side - four separate sections between No.8 & its junction with The Causeway of approx. lengths of: 50 metres, 15 metres, 15 metres & 20 metres.
3. The Causeway (East Hanney)
a. north side: from its junction with School Road, eastwards to its junction with Brookside.
b. South side: a) for approx. 20 metres outside Nos.15 & 16, and b) for approx. 45 metres outside Nos.3 & 4.
B. 'No Waiting Mon-Fri 8.30am to 9.15am & 3pm to 4pm' (single yellow lines) parking restrictions:
The Causeway (East Hanney) - south side: a) for approx. 20 metres outside Nos.11 & 12, and b) for approx. 20 metres outside Nos.7 & 8.
C. No Stopping on School 'Keep Clear' Markings (Mon-Fri 8.30am to 9.15am & 3pm to 4pm):
The Causeway (East Hanney) - both sides: for approx. 60 metres eastwards from the parish boundary. The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads - Vale of White Horse District Excluding The Parish Of North Hinksey) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 is further amended as necessary, updating Map Tiles: GL45 and GL46 in the process.

(VARIOUS ROADS - SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.16) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that on 8 April 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 12 April introduces new sections of 'No Waiting at Any Time' (double yellow lines) parking restrictions in East Hagbourne as follows:
Main Road:
a. North side - from the western kerbline of the access road to Hagbourne Village Hall, westwards for a distance of 86 metres, and
b. South side - from the eastern kerbline of Manor Farm Lane, eastwards for a distance of 59 metres.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads - South Oxfordshire) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting And Permitted Parking) Order 2021 is further amended as necessary, updating Map Tile GZ67 in the process.
