(The Naite and Hill Lane, Oldbury-on-Severn) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon carriageway reconstruction works. The order will be operative from 6 May 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Schedule: The Naite – from Shepperdine Road south westwards for 75; Hill Lane – from Shepperdine Road north eastwards for 75m. Alternative route: The Naite (part unaffected), Foss Lane, Oldbury Lane, Butt Lane, Gloucester Road, Rockhampton Road, Thornbury Road, Hill Road, Nupdown Road, Hill Lane (part unaffected) and vice versa
(Harcombe Hill, Winterbourne Down) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Harcombe Hill which extends from Station Road southwards for 50m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon duct laying works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 7 May 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Station Road, Down Road, Harcombe Hill (parts unaffected) and vice versa
(Bath Road, Wick) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Bath Road which extends from A420 southwards for a 500m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new gas connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 15 April 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 days duration. Alternative route: London Road, Freezinghill Lane and vice versa
(Public Footpath LWB/14/20, Hambrook) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers the entire length of Public Footpath LWB/14/20. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon retaining wall works.
The order will be operative from 7 May 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 weeks duration.
Alternative route: LWB/14/10, Hambrook Lane, Old Gloucester Road and vice versa
(A38 Gloucester Road and Hortham Lane, Almondsbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works. The order will be operative from 29 April 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration, between the hours of 8pm and 6am. Schedule: 1. A38 Gloucester Road – from Hortham Lane south westwards for 100m and a north eastwards for 100m;
2. Hortham Lane – from A38 Gloucester Road south eastwards for 100m.
Alternative routes (vice versa): 1. A38 (part unaffected), B4057, B4058, B4059, B4427, A38 (part unaffected); 2. Hortham Lane (part unaffected), Gaunts Earthcott Lane, B4427, A38 (part unaffected)

South Gloucestershire Council Definitive Map and Statement South Gloucestershire Council (Footpath between Public Footpath ORN 19 and Public Bridleway ORN 54 at Severn Beach) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2024
The above Order made on 27 March 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them a footpath commencing on public footpath ORN 19 at Point A on the order plan (grid reference ST 5441 8463), within the field to the east of Severn Beach Primary School, running in an east south-easterly direction alongside a drainage ditch at the field edge for a distance of 96m to the edge of the field at Point X (grid reference ST 5450 8462) where it meets a kissing gate and then continues for a further 8m, crossing a culverted ditch to join with the surfaced track of the public bridleway ORN54 at Point B (grid reference ST 5451 8462). Shown as a bold broken line marked A - X- B on the map contained in this order. The width of the path is 2m throughout its length. The total length is 104m. The number of the footpath to be added is ORN 80. The above Order made on 27 March 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them a footpath commencing at the boundary of the south east corner of the Severn Beach recreation ground, Point A on the order plan (grid reference ST 5438 8471), and running in a south-southeasterly direction across a field, parallel to the western boundary hedge, for a distance of 102m to where it meets public footpaths ORN 51 and ORN 19, Point B on the order plan (grid reference ST 5440 8461), east of the footbridge which exits the field into land at School Way. Shown as a bold broken line marked A - B on the map contained in this order. The width of the path is 2m throughout its length.
The total length is 102m. The number of the footpath to be added is ORN 82.

NOTICE is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council proposes to make an order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended the effect of which will be to: a) add lengths of no waiting at any time restrictions in Catbrain Lane and Medlar Close, Almondsbury; b) reduce lengths of no waiting Mon-Fri (inclusive) 2pm - 3pm in Catbrain Lane, Almondsbury; c) bring forward unchanged into the new order lengths of no waiting at any time restrictions in New Charlton Way, Charlton Leaze and Catbrain Hill, Almondsbury and lengths of no waiting Mon-Fri (inclusive) 2pm - 3pm in New Charlton Way, Almondsbury; and d) vary the South Gloucestershire Council (Various Roads, Catbrain Lane area, Almondsbury) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2020 in favour of the measures in item a) and item b) above. Exemptions in the order permit any vehicle to wait for the purpose of boarding or alighting; loading or unloading goods; delivering postal packets; maintenance of the road; supply of gas, water or electricity; the pursuance of statutory powers or duties; taking in petrol, oil, water or air from any garage; weddings or funerals and in accordance with the current provisions for vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge.
