What is happening?




ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984- SECTION (14.1)

The council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Temporary Traffic Orders described below.



ALMA ROAD EN3 – 4229


Reason for 14(1) Order – Gas Works


Operational Dates:

15 April 2024 "At any time" for 5 weeks or until works are completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to suspend parking on both sides of this road between Nos.433 and 493.



RYDAL WAY EN3 - 4230


Reason for 14(1) Order - Thames Water Works


Operational Dates:

15 April 2024 "At any time" for 5 days or until works are completed

The general effect of the Order will be to suspend parking on this road between Nos. 10 and 24 and between Nos. 11 and 25.



STONEHAM ROAD N11, OSTLIFFE ROAD N13, BROWNLOW ROAD N11, EMPIRE AVENUE N18,WOLVES LANE N13 - 4231


Reason for 14(1) Order – Highways Works


Operational Dates:

16 April 2024 for 1 day

or until works completed.

The general effect of the Order will be to suspend parking at the following locations:

Stoneham Road

Parking suspension to start from the junction of Eversham Avenue and Stoneham Road and finish 25m into Stoneham Road from the junction of Eversham Avenue (parking suspension 25m);

Ostliffe Road

Parking suspension to start from the junction of Ostliffe Road and Chequers Way and to finish 20m from the junction of Ostliffe Road and Chequers Way going west bound into Ostliffe Road (parking suspension 20m);

Brownlow Road

Parking suspension to start 30m from the junction of Goring Road going southbound towards Bounds Green Road and finish 50m from the junction of Goring Road going southbound towards Bounds Green road (parking suspension 20m in length);

Empire Parade

Parking suspension to start on from the junction of Empire Parade and Empire Avenue and to finish 30m from the junction of Empire Parade and Empire Avenue going west bound into Empire Avenue (parking suspension 30m); and

Wolves Lane

Parking suspension to start from the junction of Grenoble Gardens and Wolves Lane and finish 20m from junction of Grenoble Gardens and Wolves Lane (parking suspension 20m).



OSTLIFFE ROAD N13 - 4232


Reason for 14(1) Order – Telecoms works

Operational Dates:

16 April 2024 for 1 night

between 22:00 hours and 05:00 hours on 17 April 2024 or until works complete

The general effect of the Order will be to close this road at its junction with A10 Great Cambridge Road N18. While this road is closed local diversions will be in operation.

ELSTREE GARDENS N9 - 4233

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utilities works

Operational Dates:

17 April 2024 for 3 days

Between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until works complete

The general effect of the Order will be to close this road at its junction with Bounces Road N9. While this road is closed local diversions will be in operation.

CORNWALLIS GROVE N9 - 4234

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utilities works

Operational Dates:

17 April 2024 for 3 days

Between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until works complete.

The general effect of the Order will be to close this road at its junction with Exeter Road. While this road is closed local diversions will be in operation.

CHALK LANE EN4 - 4235

Reason for 14(1) Order – Essential Utilities works

Operational Dates:

17 April 2024"At any time" for 17 days

or until works complete.

The general effect of the Order will be to suspend the Taxi parking bay south of Metro Point 1a Chalk Lane for approximately 10 metres.

MOLLISON AVENUE AND GREEN STREET EN3 – EM22

Reason for 14(1) Order – follow on from 14.2 notice

Operational Dates:

30 March 2024"At any time" for a further 12 days.

The general effect of the Order will be

  • No Right Turn from Mollison Avenue Into Millmarsh Lane;
  • No Right Turn from Millmarsh Lane Into Mollison Avenue;
  • Green Street – Road Closure At Level Crossing; and
  • Mollison Avenue 20 Mph Speed Limit between Brancroft Way And Green Street EN3. While Green Street is closed local diversions will be in operation.
