  1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 2nd April 2024 has made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:
  2. The general effect of the orders will be to introduce:-

School Street Zone SS34 - North Harringay Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:30-9.15am 3.00-3.45pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  4. Falkland Road N8: From its junction with Green Lanes to its junction Wightman Road.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Falkland Road N8 (all properties), 1 Queens Parade, Green Lanes N8, 256 & 258 Wightman Road N8, Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to North Harringay Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  5. School Street Zone SS35 - North Harringay Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:30-9.15am 3.00-3.45pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:

Frobisher Road N8: From its junction with Wightman Road to its junction with Willoughby Road.

Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of 1-111 Frobisher Road N8 (odd), 2-90 Frobisher Road N8 (even), 270 Wightman Road N8, Greek Orthodox Church of St John the Baptist, 1 Willoughby Road N8, North Harringay Primary School, Falkland Road N8, Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to North Harringay Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • School Street Zone SS37 – Lea Valley Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:30-9.15am 2.45-3.30pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  • Trulock Road N17

    From its junction with Northumberland Park to its junction with Almond Road.

    Almond Road N17

    From its junction with Trulock Road for its entire length.

    Commonwealth Road N17

    From its junction with Trulock Road to its junction with Almond Road.

    Somerford Grove N17

    From its junction with Farningham Road for its entire length.

    Farningham Road N17

    From its junction with Commonwealth Road for its entire length.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Almond Road N17 (all properties), Commonwealth Road N17 (all properties), Farningham Road N17 (all properties), Somerford Grove N17 (all properties), Trulock Road N17 (all properties), 41-56 Scotswood Walk, Northumberland Park N17, Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Lea Valley Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • School Street Zone SS39 – Stroud Green Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zone in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:15-9.15am 2.45-3.45pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  • Florence Road N4

    From its junction with Upper Tollington Park to its junction with Woodstock Road.

    Woodstock Road N4

    From its junction with Florence Road to its junction with Stroud Green Road.

    Perth Road N4

    From its junction with Woodstock Road to its junction with Stroud Green Road.

    Ennis Road N4

    From its junction with Stroud Green Road to its junction with Perth Road.

    Oxford Road N4

  • From its junction with Woodstock Road to its junction with Upper Tollington Road.
  • From its junction with Woodstock Road, east for its entire length.
  • Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Florence Road N4 (all properties), Oxford Road N4 (all properties), Perth Road N4 (all properties), Ennis Road N4 (all properties), Woodstock Road N4 (all properties), 36 Upper Tollington Park N4 (all flats), 62 Upper Tollington Park N4 (all flats), 32-74 Stroud Green Road N4 (evens), Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Stroud Green Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • School Street Zone SS40 - South Harringay Junior School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:15-9.15am 3.00-3.45pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  • Mattison Road N4: From its junction with Green Lanes to its junction with Wightman Road.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Mattison Road N4 (all properties), Hornsey County School Pemberton Road, South Harringay Infants School Pemberton Road, 96 Wightman Road N4 (all flats), 100 Wightman Road N4 (all flats), 5 Duckett Mews N4, 7 Duckett Mews N4, 467 – 469 Green Lanes (odd), Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to South Harringay Junior School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • School Street Zone SS41 - South Harringay Junior School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:15-9.15am 3.00-3.45pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  • Pemberton Road N4: From its junction with Wightman Road to its junction with Green Lanes.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Pemberton Road N4 (all properties), 487-489 Green Lanes N4 (odd), South Harringay Junior School, Mattison Road N4, The Ladder Play Centre, Mattison Road N4, 118-120 Wightman Road N4 (even), Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to South Harringay Junior School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • School Street Zone SS42 – St Marys Priory RC Junior School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zone in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:15-9.00am 2.45-3.45pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  • Hermitage Road N15

    From its junction with St Anns Road to its junction with Templeton Road.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of 293 Hermitage Road N15, 295A-E Hermitage Road N15, Fawn House, 297 Hermitage Road N15 (all flats), Auburn House, 299 Hermitage Road N15 (all flats), Peregrine House, 350 Hermitage Road N15, St Marys Catholic School, The Federation of St Mary's Priory Catholic Schools, 289 St Anns Road Police Station, Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to St Marys Priory RC Junior School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • School Street Zone SS43 – St Marys CE Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zone in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:00-9.00am 2.45-3.30pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  • Rectory Gardens N8: From its junction with Nightingale Lane to its junction with High Street.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Rectory Gardens (all properties), 22-24 Nightingale Lane N8 (even), 1-5 The Gardens N8 (all properties), St Marys Church of England Junior School, Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to St Marys CE Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • School Street Zone SS46 – Coleridge Primary School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zone in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8:30-9.30am 2.30-3.30pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following road:
  • Crescent Road N8: From its junction with Avenue Road to its junction with Crouch End Hill.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of 1 Avenue Road N8 (all flats), 2-12 Crescent Road N8 (all properties), Coleridge Primary School, 1-21 Crescent Court, Crescent Road (all flats), 1-32 Northern Heights, Crescent Road (all flats), 3-5 Avenue Heights, Avenue Road N6 (all flats), Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Coleridge Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • Dates of operation:
  • The Haringey (Moving Traffic Restrictions) (No.1,2 & 4) Orders 2024 for School Street Zones SS34, SS35 & SS39 for North Harringay and Stroud Green Primary Schools will come into operation on 16th April 2024.
  • All other orders specified in this notice will come into operation on 15th April 2024.
  • Further details: an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect the Orders during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR, or can be viewed online at https://streets.appyway.com/haringey within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made.
  • Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
