The Haringey (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.1) Order 2024

  1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 2nd April 2024 has made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:
  2. The general effect of the orders will be to introduce:-

  • School Street Zone SS12 – Vale Primary School, Lancasterian Junior and Infant School: Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for local buses and those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8.15-9.15am 2.45-3.45pm during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following roads:
  • Birkbeck Road N17

    From the northern kerb of Ruskin Road to its junction with Kings Road.

    Bruce Castle Road N17

    Entire length between Kings Road and Lordship Lane.

    Church Road N17

    From a point 7 metres east of the eastern kerb of Beaufoy Road to the existing prohibition of motor vehicles filter underneath the viaduct.

    Kings Road N17

    Entire length between New Road and James Place/Chapel Stones.

    King Street N17

    Entire length between Church Road and Kings Road.

    New Road N17

    From its junction with Church Road, south for 33 metres to the existing bollards.

    Nursery Street N17

    From its junction with Tebworth Road for its entire length.

    Tebworth road N17

    From its junction with Church Road for its entire length.

    Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of 71 - 95 Birkbeck Road N17 (odd), 72 - 96 Birkbeck Road N17 (evens), Bruce Castle Road N17 (all properties), Kings Road N17 (all properties), King Street N17 (all properties & units), Tebworth Road N17 (all properties), Nursery Street N17 (all properties), Nursery Court N17 (all properties), 66 – 136 Church Road N17 (evens), 83 Church Road N17, 4 Point 2 Motors Railway Arches 528 Church Road N17, 26 & 38 Lordship Lane N17, Medical practitioners attending those residing in the zone, disabled badge holders who reside outside the zone but require essential access and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Vale Primary School, Lancasterian Junior and Infant School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

  • To replace the Permit holders parking bays and single yellow line with double yellow lines on the north side of Church Road between its junction with Cemetery Road and Beaufoy Road.
  • Dates of operation: The Orders will come into operation on 15th April 2024.
  • Further details: an appointment can be made, by emailing traffic.orders@haringey.gov.uk to inspect the Orders during normal office hours at the reception desk of Alexandra House, 10 Station Road, Wood Green, N22 7TR, or can be viewed online at https://streets.appyway.com/haringey within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made.
  • Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
