Various Roads, Southall - Temporary Road Restrictions For Laying New Underground Cables
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING
NOTICE OF INTENT TO CREATE A TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER FOR PLANNED WORKS AFFECTING: VARIOUS ROADS, SOUTHALL.
Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4198 Various Roads, Southall - 2024.
Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or near the road. These works involve AIS Utilities laying new underground cables.
Effect of order
1. Waiting, loading, and unloading restrictions will be temporarily implemented at the following locations on Lady Margaret Road - Along the eastern kerb line from property number 50 to 70.
2. The waiting, loading, or unloading of vehicles on the extent of Lady Margaret Road, to which the prohibitions and restrictions apply at any time from 21st June 2024 until 10th July 2024, will be enforced with the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice.
3. Various road closures will be implemented as illustrated in the schedule attached to this order.
4. These road closure restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 20th April 2024.
(a) No entry into the fully closed section(s) as illustrated in the schedule attached to this order.
(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section(s).
5. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
6. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.
7. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).
(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.
Date order will come into force. 20th April 2024
Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 19th October 2025 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 10th July 2024, whichever is sooner.

Ascot Gardens 1st June to 3rd June 2024.
Somerset Road Closure from 27th April to 29th April 2024.
Denbigh Road from 4th Mat to 6th May 2024.
Chepstow Gardens from 11th May to 13th May 2024.
Carlyle Avenue from 25th May to 27th May 2024.
North Avenue 8th June until 10th June 2024
Shackelton Road from 22nd June to 24th June 2024.
