What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - ALLINGTON LANE, EASTLEIGH
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Allington Lane between its junction with a point approximately 50 meters South of Allington E13/8 Overline Railway Bridge and its junction with a point approximately 50 meters North of Allington E13/8 Overline Railway Bridge
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Allington Lane, B3037 Eastleigh Road, B3354 Botley Road, B3342 Bubb Lane, B3342 Tollbar Way, B3342 Tollbar Way, B3035 Botley Road, B3035 High Street, A27 Swaythling Road, Quob Lane
DURATION OF ORDER: from 22nd April 2024 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 8 days, and in operation for 24 hours a day). The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Walker Construction to carry out trial pits on railway bridge. Walker Construction will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
