Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crondall Lane (C120) Dippenhall which extends from its junction with Doras Green Lane to its junction with Dippenhall Road; (b) suspend the environmental weight restriction in the entire length of Doras Green Lane.

This Order is required to enable BT to carry out pole renewal works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 09.30am and 03.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route 1 – Dora’s Green Lane, Heath Lane, A287 Ewshot Hill – A287 Folly Hill – A287 Castle Hill– A287 Castle Street – A325 The Borough – A287 South Street – Union Road – Downing Street – West Street – Crondall Lane; Alternative Route 2 – Crondall Lane, West Street, The Borough, A287 Castle Street, A287 Castle Hill, A287 Folly Hill, A287 Ewshot Hill, Heath Lane and Dora’s Green Lane.
