ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
(Victoria Street, Allerton Bywater, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Road closure for gas mains replacement Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Victoria Street, Allerton Bywater, Leeds in the Kippax & Methley Ward between its junctions with Victoria Street and Main Street. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Victoria Street, Station Road, Main Street and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 22nd April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Odda Lane, Hawksworth, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Replacement of Overhead lines with new underground cables) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Odda Lane, Hawksworth, Leeds in the Guiseley & Rawdon Ward between its junctions with Odda Hill and Old Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Hillings Lane, Old Lane. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 15th April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Torre Road, Burmantofts, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (excavation in the footway to allow room for barriers and safe area to excavate.) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to stop or park within the loading bays on Torre Road, Burmantofts, Leeds in the Burmantofts Richmond Hill Ward between its junctions with Lupton Avenue and York Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: N/A. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 8th April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road closure required for Northern Power Grid works) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Back Dorset Mount, Harehills, Leeds in the Gipton & Harehills Ward between its junctions with Dorset Street and Dorset Road. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 15th April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Mill Street, Richmond Hill, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near Flax Place Leeds City Council intends in not less than seven days to make an Order the effect of which will be to: Temporary No Waiting at Any Time restriction with the exemption of permit holders along the southern side of Mill Street, Richmond Hill, Leeds in the Burmantofts Richmond Hill Ward, from a point 7m east of its junction with eastern kerb line of Cotton Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 42m. No person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle to be parked within the aforementioned section of Mill Street unless the vehicle is displaying a valid permit that has been issued and authorised by the Council. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 22nd April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18months or until the works are completed if earlier. Local diversions will be in place and advanced road closure warning signs detailing the days and times of the closure/restrictions will be placed on the road. 7. Access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. 8. The Order shall come into operation subject to weather conditions permitting between Sunday 19th May 2024 and Sunday 1st September 2024. The closure will be in force Sundays only 07:00 to 18:00. (Elland Road, Beeston, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Facilitate M621 J2 improvement works) Leeds City Council has today made an Order the effect of which will be: (1) The closure of Elland Road, Beeston from outside Holbeck Community Centre to Crosby Street; (2) The closure of the Cycle Path on Elland Road, Beeston outside Holbeck Community Centre to Crosby Street; (3) The suspension of the one-way system on Elland Road, Beeston from its junction with Tilbury Avenue to Crosby Road, to allow for two-way traffic; A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: For (1) via: Tilbury Road, Ingram Road, Brown Lane East, Crosby Road; For (2) Cyclists will be asked to divert onto the main carriageway from outside Holbeck Community Centre to Crosby Street; Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Sunday 7th April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. (Meadow Lane, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for Highway junction improvement works. Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to turn left onto Great Wilson Street from Meadow Lane, Leeds in the Hunslet & Riverside Ward. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Meadow Lane, Victoria Road, Great Wilson Street. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Wednesday 17th April 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Broadway, Alexandra Road, Broadgate Crescent and vice versa. (Speed Limit) (No.15) Order 2023
Leeds City Council has today made the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order which comes into force on 8th April 2024 is to introduce: 1. 20 MPH Speed Limit on the entire lengths of: Crawshaw Hill; Hammerton Street; Lidget Hill; Longfield Avenue; Longfield Court; Longfield Grove; Longfield Mount; Longfield Road; Longfield Terrace; Manor House Street; Manor View; Mrket Place; Mulberry Street; Robin Chase and Wavergreen, and 2. 20 MPH Speed Limit on parts of: Church Lane; Lowtown and Robin Lane; A copy of the Order together with plans showing the affected sections of highway may be obtained by e-mailing legal. development@leeds.gov.uk. if you wish to object to question the validity of an Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date upon which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Traffic Regulation) (Waiting Restrictions) (No.11) Order 2015 Amendment No 1 Order 2023
Leeds City Council has today made the above Order under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order which comes into force on 8th April 2024 is to introduce: 1.No Waiting at any time on parts of: Burton Crescent, Weetwood; Clayton Wood Close, Weetwood; Foxhill Court, Weetwood; Grove Road, Weetwood; Otley Old Road, Weetwood; Tinshill Road, Weetwood; Weetwood Lane, Weetwood. 2. No Waiting between specified hours:- Monk Bridge Road, Weetwood, both sides from a point 30 metres south west of its junction with the projected south western kerbline of Stonegate Road/Meanwood Road to its junction with the projected north eastern kerbline of Grove Road. Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm (Inclusive). 3. On Street Parking Places for Vehicles Displaying a Disabled Persons Badge: Iveson Drive, Weetwood, the south side from a point 28 metres east of its junction with the projected eastern kerb line of Parkstone Avenue in an easterly direction for a distance of 8 metres. Vehicles displaying in the relevant position a disabled persons badge. All days/All Hours. 4. On Street Parking Places for Vehicles Displaying a Permit: Iveson Drive, Weetwood, the south side from a point 15 metres east of its junction with the projected eastern kerb line of Parkstone Avenue in an easterly direction for a distance of 13 metres. Vehicles displaying a valid permit. A person who has been issued a permit authorised by the Council. All Days/All Hours. 5. The revocation of existing items as identified in the Order Schedules.
