What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS
IN A1184 LONDON ROAD, SPELLBROOK) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1184 London Road, Spellbrook from its junction with A1184 Cambridge Road northwards, north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 645m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via A1184 (Cambridge Road/London Road/ Harlow Road), A414 (Edinburgh Way/Fifth Avenue/Eastwick Road), A10 (Amwell Link Road/unnamed road/Wadesmill Bypass), A120 (Standon Hill/ Kents Lane/Stortford Road/Standon Road/ Little Hadham Bypass/Hadham Road) and A1184 (Bishops Park Way/St James Way/London Road).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN MOVEMENTS FROM A1059 DANE STREET INTO DELL LANE, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from making a right turn manoeuvre from A1059 Dane Street into Dell Lane, Bishops Stortford (“the Roads”), whilst signs are in place. An alternative route will be via A1059 (Dane Street/Station Road) and Dell Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads. If you have any queries about the proposed Order, please contact
