What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA
Cornwallis Avenue, Julian Road & Radnor Park West, Folkestone CT19 5HE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow road works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic in 3 phases on part of Cornwallis Avenue, Julian Road & Radnor Park West, Folkestone, on or after 15th April 2024 for up to 41 days or until the works have been completed.
Phases are detailed as below:
Phase 1 - Radnor Park West will be closed between the junctions of A2034 Cheriton Road and Wilton Road. From 15th April 2024, with estimated completion by 27th April 2024, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Radnor Park West, A2034 Cheriton Road, Julian Road, Wilton Road and vice versa.
Phase 2 - Julian Road will be closed between the junctions of A2034 Cheriton Road and Wilton Road. From 29th April 2024, with estimated completion by 11th May 2024, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Julian Road, Wilton Road, Radnor Park West, A2034 Cheriton Road and vice versa.
Phase 3 - Cornwallis Avenue will be closed between the junctions of A2034 Cheriton Road and Wilton Road. From 13th May 2024, with estimated completion by 25th May 2024, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cornwallis Avenue, Wilton Road, Julian Road, A2034 Cheriton Road and vice versa.
Cowgate Lane & Stombers Lane, Hawkinge, CT18 7AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cowgate Lane & Stombers Lane, Hawkinge, on or after 2nd May 2024 for up to 23 days or until the works have been completed.
Cowgate Lane will be closed between the junctions of Fernfield and Maple Drive, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cowgate Lane, The Street, Canterbury Road, White Horse Hill, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Alkham Valley Road, Alkham Valley Road, Church Hill, Flegis Court Lane and vice versa.
Stombers Lane will be closed at the junction with Cowgate Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cowgate Lane, The Street, Canterbury Road, White Horse Hill, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Alkham Valley Road, Alkham Valley Road, Stombers Lane and vice versa.
Kennards Lane, Brookland (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kennards Lane, Brookland, on or after 1st May 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Brack Lane and King Street, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kennards Lane, Brack Lane, King Street and vice versa.
North Street, Folkestone, CT20 1ND (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of North Street, Folkestone, on or after 3rd May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Radnor Street and The Durlocks, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Radnor Street, A260 The Tram Road, London Street, Harbour Way, Radnor Bridge Road, East Cliff Gardens, The Durlocks and vice versa.
Salters Lane, Brookland, TN29 9RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Salters Lane, Brookland, on or after 1st May 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Michaelmas House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Salters Lane, Harvey Road, A259 From J A268 Roundabout East Of Rye To J A2070/B2080 Roundabout, Brookland Bypass A259, Rye Road and vice versa.
Shearway, Burmarsh, TN29 0JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Shearway, Burmarsh, on or after 1st May 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for a distance approximately 200 metres North from Shepherd and Crook Pub, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Woodland Road, Lyminge, CT18 8DR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodland Road, Lyminge, on or after 15th April 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of High Street and Brady Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodland Road, High Street, Well Road, Mayfield Road, Station Road, Canterbury Road, Brady Road and vice versa.
