Dover, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

Barnsole Road, Staple, CT3 1LQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Barnsole Road, Staple, on or after 29th April 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 2, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Barnsole Road, Lower Road, School Lane, Buckland Lane, Mill Road, Mill Lane and vice versa.

 

Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, CT15 6DX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bay Hill, St Margarets Bay, on or after 17th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of St Margarets Road and Hotel Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 08:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

 

Cauldham Lane, Capel Le Ferne, CT18 7HG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cauldham Lane, Capel Le Ferne, on or after 17th April 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Caple Street and Hurst Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cauldham Lane, Capel Street, Hurst Lane and vice versa.

 

Chapel Road, Whitfield, CT16 3JT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Road, Whitfield, on or after 16th April 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Forge Lane and Sandwich Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chapel Road, Forge Lane, Sandwich Road and vice versa.

 

Greenwich Lane, Ewell Minnis, CT15 7FG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Greenwich Lane, Ewell Minnis, on or after 16th April 2024 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Belsey Lane and Newcastle Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Belsey Lane, Newcastle Lane, Greenwich Lane and vice versa.

 

Heronden Road, Eastry (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Heronden Road, Eastry, on or after 15th April 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Monkeys Hill, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Heronden Road, Sandwich Road, Hammill Road, Selson Lane, Gore Lane and vice versa.

 

Homestead Lane, East Studdal, CT15 5BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Homestead Lane, East Studdal, on or after 16th April 2024 for up to 10 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Strakers Hill and Roman Road, between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Homestead Lane, Strakers Hill, Roman Road and vice versa.

 

Honeywood Parkway, Whitfield, CT16 3PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow construction works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic in 2 phases on part of Honeywood Parkway, Whitfield, on or after 15th April 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

Phase 1 - Honeywood Parkway will be closed from Melbourne Avenue to Lidl Roundabout, between the hours of 20:00 and 08:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. From 15th April 2024, with estimated completion by 19th April 2024.

Phase 2 - Honeywood Parkway will be closed from Lidl Roundabout to Whitfield Interchange, between the hours of 20:00 and 08:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. From 22nd April 2024, with estimated completion by 24th April 2024.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Honeywood Parkway, Honeywood Road, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256, Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts and Honeywood Parkway.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via Honeywood Parkway, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On, A2 Between Whitfield Roundabout And Junction With A256 and Honeywood Road.

 

Marshborough Road, Marshborough, CT13 0PE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Marshborough Road, Marshborough, on or after 19th April 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of New Street and Foxborough Hill, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Marshborough Road, New Street, Sandwich Road, A257 Ash Bypass, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, Sandwich Road, Statenborough Lane, Foxborough Hill and vice versa.

 

Singledge Lane, Whitfield, CT16 3EL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Singledge Lane, Whitfield, on or after 15th April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 25 to number 46, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Singledge Lane, Nursery Lane, Bewsbury Cross Lane, Sandwich Road, A2 Dover Road and vice versa.

 

Upper Street, Tilmanstone, CT14 0JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Upper Street, Tilmanstone, on or after 30th April 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Old Bakery, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Upper Street, St Marys Grove, Dover Road, Chapel Road and vice versa.
