What is happening?
Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Hatchet Hill (Part), Chute; from outside its property known as Chute Club to outside its property known as The Fox Cottage to enable Openreach to carry out road closure required for the safe access of pole replacement. Alternative route via Hatchet Hill (unaffected length) - Dummer Lane - Malthouse Lane - Hookwood Lane - Forest Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 May 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0370 050 0792. B) C333 (Part), Grimstead; from its junction with C324 to its junction with Green Drove to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via C333 (unaffected length) - C289 - C323 - C324 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 April 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 until 01 May 2024. This Order will come into operation on 29 April 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) C61 (Part), Donhead St Andrew; from its property known as No.01 Milkwell to its property known as Algarve to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out foul water connection via existing WW manhole and associated works. Alternative route via C61 (unaffected length) - A30 - Parnhams Hill - C295 - C61 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 April 2024 and the closure will be required for 5 days. For further information please contact Tony Wilkinson on 01258 841208. Orders A) to D) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Section 14(1) Of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County Of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Various Parishes) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order (No.40) 2024 (Ref TTRO 9258)
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway retexturing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 08 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The closures are anticipated to take place between 08 April 2024 and 06 May 2024. Schedule 1. A360 (Part), Tilshead and West Lavington; from its junction with Chitterne Road to its junction with C31. 2. A30 (Part), Barford St Martin and Compton Chamberlayne; from a point 1500 metres west of its junction with Burcombe Lane for a distance of approximately 2500 metres in a westerly direction. 3. A350 (Part), East Knoyle, Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with C58 to its junction with C62. 4. A354 (Part), Britford and Coombe Bissett; from its junction with Homington Road to its junction with Stratford Tony Road. 5. A338 (Part), Downton and Odstock; from its junction with Batten Road to its junction with C12. 6. B3080 (Part), Downton and Redlynch; from its junction with Slab Lane to outside property known at Greenfields. Alternative routes (vice versa) 1a LGV's: via A360 (unaffected length) - A342 - A345 - The Packway and B3086. 1b HGV's: via A360 (unaffected length) - B3098 - Cheverell Road - A360 - A342 A345 -The Packway and B3086. 2. via A30 (unaffected length) - B3089 and A350. 3. via A350 unaffected length - A30 and B3089. 4. via A354 unaffected length - A3094 - A36 - A30 and A350. 5. via A338 unaffected length - A31 and A36. 6. via B3080 unaffected length - B3078 - B3079 - A31 and A338. Notice Of Confirmation Of An Order Town And Country Planning Act 1990 And Wildlife And Countryside Act 1981 The Wiltshire Council East Knoyle 24 (Part) Diversion And Definitive Map And Statement Modification Order 2024
On 22 March 2024 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert path East Knoyle 24, New Leaze Farm, East Knoyle, leading from OSGR ST 8588-2930, in a broadly north easterly direction, for approximately 175m to OSGR ST 8599-2944, to a new route at OSGR ST 8588-2930, in a broadly east north easterly, then north easterly then northerly direction for approximately 180m to OSGR ST 8599-2944, having a width of 2m. Thereupon the Mere and Tisbury Rural District Council Area Definitive Map dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly. A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Rights of Way and Countryside, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. This order comes into force on the date on which Wiltshire Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with, but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraphs 7 and 8 of Schedule 14 to that Act. 4 April 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Pedestrian Crossing - Ashley Road, Salisbury
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes to change the status of the existing Zebra Crossing to become a "Parallel Crossing" (a combined pedestrian and cycle crossing which has priority over the road which it crosses) in Ashley Road, Salisbury from a point 2 metres east of the centreline of the vehicular access to the property known as Studio Theatre, Ashely Road to a point 50 metres east of that vehicular access. A copy of the plan showing the location of the crossing may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Salisbury Library, Market Walk, Salisbury between the hours of 10am - 7pm Monday, 9am - 7pm Tuesday and Friday and 9am - 5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday until 29 April 2024.
