Lea Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic
What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (LEA ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Lea Road in both directions between its junctions with Copthorne Road and Lyndhurst Road. The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken from 15 April 2024 until 17 April 2024.
The diversion route is: Stubbs Road, Penn Road and vice versa. The Order is required to facilitate a large sluice valve install by Severn Trent Water.
