ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC137771606:
The City of Manchester (Chester Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Chester Street from Car Park Entrance to Lower Ormond Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Cambridge Street, Hulme Street, Lower Ormond Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the removal of site offices and cabins.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th April 2024 to 8th April 2024. The order shall come into operation on 6th April 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
