Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 3 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the following lengths of roads: - (a) that length of Peaslake Lane (D222) Ewhurst which extends between its junction with Pursers Lane and its junction with Walking Bottom. Alternative Route – D228 Walking Bottom, D227 Lawbrook Lane, C46 Hound House Road, D222 Hook Lane, D222 Burrows Cross and D222 Pursers Lane; and (b) that length of Walking Bottom (D228) Peaslake which extends from its junction with Lawbrook Lane and its junction with Ewhurst Road. Alternative Route – D227 Lawbrook Lane, C46 Pitch Hill, D222 Peaslake Road and D222 Ewhurst Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out sign installation and/or removal works and vegetation works. The Order will commence on 5 April 2024 and which continues in force “The Surrey County Council Peaslake Lane (D222) Ewhurst and Walking Bottom (D228) Peaslake Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024” which came into operation on 1 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of roads, including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, including access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians.
