Peterborough - Multiple Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Notices

What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Westbrook Park Road, Woodston, Peterborough.
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024          Ref: 24-437

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Westbrook Park Rd, Woodston as lies between Celta Rd and Westbrook Park Close. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Celta Rd, London Rd, New Rd, Westbrook Park Rd and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/04/2024 and will continue until the new antenna installation works have been completed or until the 09/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight between 20:00hrs and 04:30hrs from the 10/04/2024 to the 13/04/2024.

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Shrewsbury Avenue to Maxwell Road and Morley Way Cyclepath
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024          Ref: 24-405

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycleway Shrewsbury Avenue to Maxwell Road and Morley Way Cyclepath as lies between Shrewsbury Avenue and Maxwell Road. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycleway. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: Maxwell Rd, Morley Way, Shrewsbury Ave and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on 15/04/2024 and will continue until the Electrical Cable Installation for new development Gateway 385 has been completed or until the 14/10/2024, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order –
Peterborough 15 Section 1 Footpath, Bretton, Peterborough – 2024 Ref: 25-001

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Peterborough 15 Section 1 Footpath as lies between Huntsmans Gate and Peterborough 17 Section 2 Footpath. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is via: Huntsmans Gate, Bretton Way, Peterborough 17 Section 2 Footpath and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into operation on the 15/04/2024 and will continue until the gas mains replacement works have been completed or until the 14/10/2024, whichever is the earlier. The City of Peterborough Glinton Road, Helpston, Peterborough.
Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024            Ref: 25-007

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Glinton Road, Helpston as lies between points 20 metres either side of Helpston Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Glinton Rd, Maxey Rd, High St (Maxey), Maxey Rd, A15, Helpston Rd and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 13/04/2024 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 12/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight from 22:30hrs on the 13/04/2024 to 08:45hrs on the 14/04/2024.  BR1
