ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 

MANCHESTER ROAD B6099, DODWORTH
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

An order will be made to close Manchester Road B6099 for a distance of 20 metres either side of railway crossing, from 14 April2024 for approximately one day.

Reason: Renew road markings and hog testing.

An alternative route is available via: Manchester Road B6099/Mitchelson Avenue/Barnsley Road B6449/Whinby Road.

OLD MILL LANE, BARNSLEY
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

An order has been made to close Old Mill Lane from Harborough Hill Road to Old Tannery Road, between 19:00 on 7th April and 06:00 on 8th April 2024.

Reason: TM set up/TM removal for bridge widening scheme.

An alternative route is available via: Old Tannery Road, Burton Road, Rotherham Road, Pontefract Road, Harborough Hill Road.

ST HELENS STREET, ELSECAR

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

An order has been made to close St Helens Street from outside No.102 to Cobcar Lane, from 8th April 2024 for approximately one day.

Reason: Remedial works.

An alternative route is available via: Cobcar Lane, Wath Road, Fitzwilliam Street, Hill Street, St Helens Street.

An order has been made to close Hill Top Avenue from No. 28 to Wilford Road, from 8th April 2024 for approximately one day.

Reason: Remedial works.

SWALLOW HILL ROAD, LOW BARUGH

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

An order will be made to close Swallow Hill Road from outside No.83 to Spark Lane, from 16th April 2024 for approximately one day.

Reason: Replace manhole and frame cover.

An alternative route is available via: Spark Lane, Blacker Road, Carr Green Lane, Swallow Hill Road.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

An order has been made to close Summer Lane, Barnsley from Station Road to Newton Street, from 7 April 2024 for approximately 5 nights. Road closed overnight between 1900 and 0600. 

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing.

An alternative route is available via: Dodworth Road/Pogmoor Road.

An order will be made to close Station Road for approximately 50mtrs either side of the level crossing, on 14th April 2024 between 00:05hrs and 08:30hrs.

Reason: Renew road markings.

An alternative route is available via: Whinby Road, North Road, Barnsley Road, Mitchelson Avenue.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)(a)

(AS AMENDED) 

HOYLAND FOOTPATH NOS. 5 AND 6 AND WORSBROUGH

FOOTPATH NO. 40 TEMPORARY CLOSURE

The Secretary of State has authorised a further extension of the above named Order to close sections of Hoyland footpath nos. 5 and 6 which run between Shortwood and Rockingham to the north of Dearne Valley Parkway and Worsbrough footpath no. 40 connecting to Kestrel Way for a further 6 months until the 30 September 2024.

Alternative footpaths will be provided on site throughout works.

Reason: To enable final building construction works to be completed.
