What is happening?

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a pressure reduction set up and meter on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Zion Place.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Zion Place will be closed to vehicular traffic at its junction with Whitehorse Road.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Whitehorse Road, High Street, Nursery Road and vice versa.

4. The Order will come into operation on 18 April 2024 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 13 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

Temporary Restriction Of Traffic

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate traffic management whilst new water connection works are completed, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Alexandra Road, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Alexandra Road will be closed between its junctions with Lower Addiscombe Road and Alexandra Place.

3. Whilst the closure is in place the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Alexandra Place, Davidson Road and reversed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 08 April 2024, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 11 April 2024. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
