What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL
Lunghurst Road (D1361) Woldingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 3 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lunghurst Road (D1361) Woldingham which extends from its junction with Halliloo Valley Road (D1359) to the northern property boundary line of “Down End”. Alternative Route – Halliloo Valley Road (D1359), Slines Oak Road (D1360) and Lunghurst Road (D1361) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:30am and 4:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Church Lane (C72) Godstone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 3 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Church Lane (C72) Godstone which extends from its junction with Oxted Road (A25) to its junction with Bullbeggars Lane (D399). Alternative Route – Bullbeggars Lane (D399), Eastbourne Road (B2236), High Street (B2236), High Street (A25) and Oxted Road (A25) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Beechwood Gardens (D1406) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 3 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beechwood Gardens (D1406) Caterham which extends from its junction with Tillingdown Hill (D1405) to the northwestern property boundary line of “28 Beechwood Gardens”. Alternative Route – Beechwood Gardens (D1406), Croydon Road (B2208), Highfield Road (D1405) and Tillingdown Hill (D1405) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:30am and 2:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield and Station Road (D412) Dormansland Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 3 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Blackberry Lane (D412) Lingfield and Station Road (D412) Dormansland which extends from its junction with Swissland Hill (D412) to its junction with Mill Lane (X34056). 
Alternative Route – Blackberry Lane (D412), Blackberry Road (D412), 
Felcourt road (C88), East Grinstead Road (C88), Town Hill (B2028), Racecourse Road (B2028), Dormans Road (C91), Hollow Lane (C91), Mutton Hill (D412) and Station Road (D412) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 3 nights, between 9:00pm and 6:00am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, residents and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Mount Pleasant Road (D1430) Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Mount Pleasant Road (D1430) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1430) Farningham Road to its junction with (D1430) Commonwealth Road. Alternative Route – Farningham Road; and Commonwealth Road. The Order is required to allow telecoms utility works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of TSE Group and/or BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 30 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours a day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Guildford Road (B2122) Fetcham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Guildford Road (B2122) Fetcham which extends from its junction with Hawkshill Close to its roundabout junction with Young Street. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.
