What is happening?

Hertfordshire County Council:

(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In St Albans) Order 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-

1. that length of Woodstock Road South, St Albans from its junction with A1057 Hatfield Road north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Woodstock Road North, a distance of approximately 263m.

An alternative route will be via A1057 Hatfield Road, Harlesden Road and Brampton Road.

2. that length of Burnham Road, St Albans from its junction with Woodstock Road South westwards for a distance of approximately 66m.

An alternative route will be via A1057 Hatfield Road, Harlesden Road and Burnham Road.

3. that length of Eaton Road, St Albans from its junction with Woodstock Road South eastwards for a distance of approximately 56m.

An alternative route will be via A1057 Hatfield Road, Beaumont Avenue and Eaton Road.

The Order is needed because sewer cleaning works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Primrose Lane, Aldenham) Order 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Primrose Lane, Aldenham from its junction with B462 Radlett Road south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Summerhouse Lane, a distance of approximately 518m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B462 Radlett Road, Hilfield Lane and Summerhouse Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Redbourn) Order 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-

1. that length of Lybury Lane, Redbourn from its junction with Wheatlock Mead south eastwards to its junctions with The Common, a distance of approximately 255m.

An alternative route will be via Lybury Lane, Ridgedown, Snatchup, Long Cutt, Crouch Hall Lane, Lamb Lane and The Common.

2. that length of North Common, Redbourn from its junction with Lybury Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Lybury Lane, Ridgedown, Snatchup, Long Cutt, Crouch Hall Lane, Lamb Lane and North Common or via Lybury Lane, The Common and North Common.

3. that length of North Common, Redbourn from its junction with Lybury Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

An alternative route will be via Lybury Lane, The Common, West Common and North Common.

The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Springfield Road, St Albans) Order 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Springfield Road, St Albans from its junction with Cell Barnes Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 91m ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
