THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF CALDERDALE (SPEED LIMIT)
(A672 OLDHAM ROAD, RISHWORTH) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that on 27th March 2024 the Borough Council of Calderdale in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 made the above Order, the effect of which is to introduce a 50mph speed limit on the length of the A672 Oldham Road, Rishworth from a point approximately 130 metres north east of its junction with Moselden Lane for a distance of approximately 5.9 kilometres in a generally south westerly direction to the Calderdale Borough boundary with Oldham Metropolitan Borough.

The Order will come into effect on 15th April 2024.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including the plan showing the affected road and the statement of reasons for the Order, are available for inspection at Halifax Central Library, Halifax, HX1 1QG, from 10.00am to 5.30pm on Mondays to Fridays and 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays. Alternatively copies of the documents can be viewed on the Council’s website at https://new.calderdale.gov.uk/streets-and-transport/transport-initiatives/tro/current-tro/a672-oldham-road-speed-limit or can be requested by contacting the Council via email proposedtro@calderdale.gov.uk or telephone 01422 288001 or 288002.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date on which the relevant Order was made (i.e. 27 March 2024) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
