What is happening?

THE
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
COUNTY COUNCIL
(COPPICE ROAD,
ARNOLD)
(TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF
WAITING) ORDER
2024 (G24-061)
NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that the
Nottinghamshire County
Council intends not less
than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make
an Order, under Section
14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, as
amended, in respect of
roads at Arnold in the
Borough of Gedling.
The effects of the Order
will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from waiting, loading and
unloading in the following
length of road:
Coppice Road (both
sides, at all times) - from
a point 70 metres northwest
of its junction with
Mapperley Orchard to a
point 20 metres southeast
of its junction with
Mapperley Orchard
2. All existing permanent
restrictions will be
temporarily suspended as
required.
3. The restrictions
specified above shall only
be in effect when the signs
are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting the
above road or roads will
apply as follows:
From 09:30 hours on
Monday 15th April 2024
Until 15:00 hours on Friday
17th May 2024
The Order will come into
force on 15th April 2024
and any prohibition in it
shall apply on that day
and any subsequent day
when necessary to enable
works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue
in force until the works
are completed (within a
maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required
to enable Via East
Midlands on behalf of
Nottinghamshire County
Council to construct a
puffin crossing.
